Everything sucks, but we can make it suck less

Maybe teleportation already existed September 24, 2005

Just think: You invent a way to move objects and beings through a digital space, disintegrating and reintegrating beings. Who knows how you did it, but you did.

Who wants you dead now? If packages can be moved instantly, UPS, FedEx, and DHL will die. Those companies don’t want to die. They want you and your invention dead. If people don’t need cars to go from point A to point B; Ford, Chevrolet, Mazda, Mitsubishi, etc, all want you erased. Who’d fly in unsafe airplanes for lots of money? American Airlines, Northwest, Southwest, Continental, Delta, all want you gone.

Who is to say that teleportation hasn’t already been invented? The coverup would be massive. The family would be bought out. Maybe even the inventor. Either way, a lot of companies have a lot to lose in an instant. A flash of light, or a slow decompilation of an object, however it worked, would replace so much we take for granted today.

If it’s possible, there’s a lot of money to be lost, and made, in it. Teleportation is serious business.
